How does the ConnectiCare HSA Solution work?

Join your ConnectiCare health plan

To join the ConnectiCare HMO HSA-Compatible Plan, complete the Enrollment/Change Form and any additional forms provided in your Enrollment Kit. Once you have filled in all sections of the Enrollment/Change Form, make sure to sign and date the bottom of page 1, follow the instructions on page 2, and then return the form and any required attachments to your Employee Benefits Administrator.

Enroll in your HSA program

Once you are enrolled in the HMO HSA-Compatible Plan, you may be eligible to open an individual Health Savings Account (HSA). Review the Summary Plan Document or ask your Employee Benefits Administrator for more details about HSA eligibility and enrollment procedures. To learn more about HSA enrollment, click here.

Use your HSA tax-free for qualified expenses

Funding your HSA is an important way to ensure that you have money available for out-of-pocket medical expenses incurred before the HDHP deductible is reached. You can use the money in your HSA tax-free for any IRS-qualified medical expenses. State taxes may vary. Qualified expenses may include co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, certain prescriptions, long-term care, COBRA premiums, and many other services and treatments.
